Exclamation HOT motor!

ok not sure if this is in the right section but i was going to ask for some help from the rc community.
so ive been out of the hobby for a while and just took my bl 18t out and noticed the motor gets HOT. hold your finger on there for a few seconds and it starts to get hot. i have 14/60 gearing with a tekin mini rage 8000kv motor. so what i was wondering is why the hell is it getting so hot?
maybe the gearing is geared to high orrr??
any input im sure would be helpful!
Thanks.

Its getting hot because you are loading up the motor too much

Lower your pinion and temps will come down

Cheers

Check that your gear mesh is not too tight.

I'm new to BL too so take this as a noob to noob. If you are holding your finger there for a "few seconds" then I'm not sure if you are too far off on gearing. From what I understand, temps in the 130*F range is "normal." I would suggest getting a temp gun so you can check to be sure.
Hope this helps
