We are a small but growing group of RC'ers from a Youth Center that are in need of a lap counting system. Funds are limited(under $1500.) so that will limit us in our selection. It seems like the I Laps system would work for us. Is there anyone out there that can comment on this system? Thank you.

We've been running iLap at my club for several years now and have never had a serious issue with it. A few transponders have gone south. Not sure if it was crash damage or manufacturing flaw, but otherwise, it's worked great. VERY worth the money and not a rip-off like AMB transponders.
If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Going on 2 solid years now with the newer ilap system... love it! We do mostly time trial and with the transponders at $30ish a piece it allows for people to buy 2-3 of them and keep them permanent in each truck...
If one of the transponders goes bad we have had no issues with Craig in getting them fixed in a timely manner...

My club has been using iLaps for a few months now and it works great
Price is fantastic and product support is fantastic. Comes with a 5 car version of RC Scoring Pro too, which can be upgraded to the full version for $250
Awesome product @ an amazing price.
