Tactics aren't bad, but depends on what you want to be able to adjust....

I think I want to get a computer radio, like the Spektrum DX3C, but it looks really overwhelming with features. I understand how to use the throttle an steering trim knobs on my standard stock radio, but outside of that, I don't understand it.

How steep is the learning curve on them?

Default RC Driver's August Issue

Check out the latest issue of RC Driver. They have about six or eight pages on "sport" 2.4Ghz radio systems with bullet points, pricing, etc.

Surprised they didn't mention Flysky stuff, as it seems to be popular due to the price point of the Rx, but all the other major brands are shown, even RTR stuff like the Traxxas Link the new HPI radio, etc.

HTH...

Dont get the DX3E it is honestly garbage for your money... Superior radios that have screens to easily adjust anything you want and you can see it for the same price and quite a few that are less...
Here is a few examples.

There is quite a few more out there as well for $100 or a slight amount more.

If you want to save some money and arnt doing a lot of really serious racing these work just fine as well and are really cheap!

BigSquidRC rated the Futaba 3PL second in a 2.4g radio shootout ranging in price from $80 (Tactic) to $500. http://www.bigsquidrc.com/2-4-ghz-ra...tter-shootout/

I'm looking at the HobbyKing 310 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=12181

Guys, I'm bringing this up again as I am in the market for a sub 100 radio.

That Flysky looks great!

Have there been any changes in this market since June last year? Any new great sub 100 radios on the market?

Futaba has 3pl for less than $100, it's good quality and service is backed by great planes hobby services.

Save a little extra and get the Spektrum DX2S I just got it and its super awesome and it comes with Tele and temp guages for 159.00

Worth the money and it will work with the Mini 8ight SR300 plus is come with the 3300T receiver.

Worth every penny and 10 model memory mode as well.
