Need RX for Losi Controller
 

Just got a 2.4 GHz TX for my grandson's Rustler. We need an inexpensive compatible receiver. Wondering if the flysky receivers are compatible since they are less than $10. Not seeing a model number on controller but believe it is the one that is standard with Losi rtr's. Sticker says Losi Radio System w/ Spektrum 2.4 GHz DSM Technology. Thanks

You will need a Spektrum Reciever and they are not cheap

To elaborate on Crusey's reply: Spektrum air and ground systems are not compatable with each other. All the Spektrum compatable systems, (Flysky), that I know of are for air. It's a shame because I'm sure that a cheap Spektrum surface compatable reciever would sell like hotcakes... A used reciver will usually run 45-60 dollars.

Either the Losi 2.4GHz RX or Spektrum SR300 cost $50 new and would work.

Actually any Spektrum DSM would work but not DSM2.

my advise is to go to hobbypartz and get a flysky gt2 if you want to stay 2.4 since the spec stuff is so expensive
