Spektrum dx3s

I have it and I have to say I love it. Then again, I'm just a mediocre club racer (for the moment, atleast)
It's nice because it isn't as expensive as a DX3R. A DX3R would have been way overkill for me since I only have 4 vehicles. Pretty much all the features you will need though as long as you aren't a hard-core racer. If you are one who likes the different wheel positions though you will need a 3R.

i have this DX3s -using for 5 months, love to use it ..., issue running with align DS620 servo with hobbywing ezrun 60A ESC, you need external BEC to make it work, and lately facing some glitch issue ..now changing to sanwa MX-3X more faster response ... just 2 cent

Currently I'm using DX3S before I face glitch issues when the battery goes below 6V on the screen, at this instance it is difficult to control the car at the tight race track, However I solved this issue by using the new energizer lithium battery, they last very long, approximately 2 months if your racing once a week before the voltage drop down to 6V.
At one instance I my friends 4PKS on my JQ, It was a lot more precise and fast than my radio that is the reason why this is almost 2x more expensive. now I look forward of buying one.
The signal of DX3S also does not reach that far compared with other radios.
If you intend to use this on race track and compete in racing invest on higher end ones you will feel the difference later on.

Had one, didn't like it. Feels toy like and cheap compared to the dx3R. Programming is easy though, the big screen is nice, but the wheel felt soft, and the trigger was also too light for my tastes.
I just got an airtronics MX-3X and I already feel that it's far superior. Better wheel tension, better trigger feel (it's also adjustable for neutral point. In other words you can change the length of pull for throttle vs. brake) and the tension on the trigger feels just perfect. It also has a nice solid feel in the hand, unlike the dx3S. Also, faster response when using the FHSS3, better signal range, etc... My $.02
