Default 2CH VS 3CH

So Ive got an associated b4.1 and I want to upgrade the remote. Ive notice that throttle lags as well as the steering. I was looking at the Spectrum Dx2s or the Dx3s. Since im still considered a newbie.. is having the extra channel a big deal? I wouldnt be using the remote for anything other than the car. I might even put another receiver into another car I have and have 1 remote for 2 cars. So.. Would 3 channels be completely necessary?

I was wondering the same thing! From what I've read its really only necessary to run telemetry or something else onboard. Maybe someone else can chime in.

You don't need 3 channels unless you have a use for it. Throttle and steering, 2 channels don't need anymore than that. I have no idea what features or settings the dx2s has but I have a DX3S and run 1/8th buggy and truggy and only use the telemetry on my truggy and that doesn't use one of the channels but have never and probably will never use the 3rd channel. Get the 2 channel and use the extra cash for another reciever.

I think it's mostly just rock crawlers that use the third channel on the radio. But the 3rd channel on the receiver is helpful for me for powering my personal transponder. I currently use every slot on my 3ch receiver, battery slot for a Novak capacitor, then steering and throttle, and ch3 for the transponder.
