Glitching?

I am having a difficult problem with my setup. I have a Novak Ner-2X receiver with two Futaba servos. I am using 4 AAA alkalines to power the receiver in a Kyosho Spada 1/12 nitro pan car. When I steer the car, the throttle tends to respond a little, and it is prone to runaway bursts of full-throttle, making it way too dangerous to run the car. I just found a product by novak called the "Glitch Buster". I'm not sure if that would help, but am wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Also, can anyone recommend a suitable receiver pack..whether it is NiCd, Lipo, or NiMH...not sure what configuration would be best...I am used to running electrics with BEC, so I don't know much about it. Any advice appreciated!

Yeah, I kinda doubt AAA alkalines are up to running a couple of servos, especially if they are high performance servos. A glitch buster/stutter stopper should help, but may not be enough. Cheap enough to try though.
Safest option is a NiMH receiver pack. To run Lipo (unregulated anyway) need to confirm your servos and the receiver can handle the higher voltage. What model servos? A LiFe pack is an in between option. I suspect available space will drive the actual pack selection, I’m guessing there is not much room to work with on a nitro 1/12 scale.

Thanks for the reply. Turns out, adding fresh alkalines improved the problem substantially. I didn't realize they had run down so quickly, so yes, I am definitely ready to buy a receiver pack! I am using a Futaba S9650 Digital Mini Servo for steering and a standard S-148 for the throttle. Right now there are 4 AAA alkalines powering things...and yes, space is a gigantic concern...but I'm not even totally sure how to figure out the voltage requirements! There are so many packs to choose from. My charger can handle whatever it is, but of course I'd like to save as much $$ as possible. Any specific pack recommendations?
