Charging question: Hyperion EOS0606i

Im using a Hyperion EOS0606i charger as stated in the thread title. Ive got a TP 5300mah 65c 2s 7.4v battery.
I plugged the standard numbers into the charger, connected the power/negative connector. Then connected the balancer. It checks the battery and begins the charge.
Time counts correctly, the numbers all look correct except for the volts.
Its currently reading at 7.840v and rising.
Battery is cool to the touch and no issues I can see.
Is this correct or something I should be worried about?

Well I pulled the battery when I saw the numbers and wanted to wait till I heard back from people on here. I just haven't put the battery back to charge, I guess I'll put it back on and finish up the charge.

Oh I see. No it won't hurt it. Sometimes I pull it before it gets a complete charge if for some reason I can't wait. Like if I forget my other batteries or forget to put them on the charger and need to race.

If you look through your menus while it's charging it will give a capacity %. Once it hits 8.4v which is normaly about 90+% on my Hyperions it will maintain the 8.4v and continue to charge the last 10 or so percent, don't panic when you notice it doesn't stop charging at 8.4v. It's normal, you will also notice the charge amps will gradualy decrease after it reaches 8.4v, also normal.
Like others have said stopping the charge early won't hurt anything, many guys will pull it off once it hits 8.4v because they don't need that last few mah for racing.

I pulled it last night at 8.4v. I noticed it didnt stop and kinda flaked out- but this is also good to know. Im old school and just got back into the hobby so the Lipo is all new to me. Id rather err on the side of caution with this thing than burn down the house.

Not 100% correct, unless a pack is extremely out of balance a Hyperion will have the pack balanced long before it reachs 8.4v. Assuming it's being charged from or close to 20% capacity.

Lipo charging is in two phases - the CC part and the CV part. What you saw was the CV (constant voltage) part where the charger holds the lipo at max voltage while it 'tops' off. During this stage you'll see the current falling to a small value near zero before the charge terminates.
