I have had a few LRP sphere speed controls and I have recently purchased one used and the problem in I can't get it into setup mode. I've tried do the setup prcedure using different batteries, recievers, motors with sensor pluggen in and unplugged...The Speedcontrol does work it just wont go into setup mode.

1. Radio on

2. turn on speedcontrol

3. press and hold the set button until the set button blinks (this is where the issue is nothing happens)

I googled the problem and I found a few other had the same issue. Someone did say to clean the set and mode buttons with motor spay. I did that still same thing.

Please help...

do all of the LED's seem to work? Can you see the blue when in normal operating mode? Just wondering if maybe you have a bad LED that you can't see the set-up entry.

My instructions say to press and hold for 3 seconds. Also, how hard are you pressing the set button? I have had some Rx's that require quite a bit of pressure on the button to get it to bind. Perhaps a little extra pressure would help make the connection, within reason of course. Other than that, not sure what help can be offered here.

I sent mine in for repair this week. It was doing the exact same thing and I was getting very fedup

what dose it cost to get it fixed

Had this problem with my LRP's Comps in my SC10 also, hit it with some compressed air & lightly tapped it to dislodge sand. It worked fine afterwards. I also put tape over the 4 holes to prevent this from happening again.

Also It should have a slightly noticeable but silent click when you press it.
Check the mode button also.
I ran lrps for 10 years, & it's the only problems I ever had.

I'm getting strange lights flashing while trying to run thru the setup.

I'm using my Sphere in a drift car, 10.5 SP BL motor. I know this is for racing, but I want to enable reverse and re-calibrate the Esc but I'm getting light combinations the instructions don't indicate.
