Dude, Drop it. Hitec has By Far the Best customer service in the industry. You "claim" no warranty but i personally do Not believe that as I Know for a Fact how Hitec works in that dept.
I've heard of people having problems like mine with Hitec, JR, Futaba, Airtronics and other companies and there are always people like you that back up the company as if it was a religion and the same goes for sports teams and so on and so on. I have a right to my opinion as you do, so I'll say what I want and you do what ever you want. I don't mind at all. |
Between surface and air I have over 100 servos of many brands, not sponsored and don't work in the industry. Without a doubt I can say Hitec has one of the best if not the best repair/service/warranty departments in the industry.
Plain and simple most servo failure is caused by end user. Hitec has the most lenient policy of any of them. For a new product thread this one sure has gone downhill. |
Dude...leave us alone...:( its Castle Creation and Hitec~ sounds awesome:nod:.
Regardless of brand, i got my money ready for new high end product line. go buy what you want...we are not comparing servos here. we are just waiting to be released. |

I would use two of these in the new 1/5 losi 4X4 steering Integra, I would have bought one of the Hitec's had they came out when they said it would. So, for the time being i'll get this one to try out. That is no where near what the new yet to be released Hitec servos are doing. The servo you posted is pulling 5923mA (5.9 amps) at stall. The Hitec is only pulling 2.5 amps from the claims of the rep. I'm anxious for the release of these servos. I will buy them ASAP even at 179. Its looks to be a greatly improved design.
spunkysandoval I never said it was. If the Hitec servos are as, Hitec is clamming them to be, I will most likely have one, the price is way too hi. I will not pay over 170 $ for a servo. that is way too much, so if thay are that much. I wont buy them. they can keep them. just think. that is 3.4 amps @ 90$ difrance. do you understand this? |
Tim, the problem is I don't think you and others comprehend the massive difference it will make if Hitec pulls it off. You can bet the other major players are working hard on this. The price will come down.

Do YOU understand what Stall current even is ? We Sure do. We also understand that the Price is Up there, But At 200$ look at how many guys bought the JR HV's when they first came out and those thing's were JUNK IN YO TRUNK, most wouldn't last past the first few tanks or packs before going Pop. The whole point is, If you feel 170 is too expensive then that is YOUR decision, Nothing on Hitec for making a Stout new line of servo's. Sorry you feel hitec quality isn't worth your money but I can GUARANTEE A Lot of people do feel its with the Cash. |

If your breaking servo's on a monthly basis, Is pretty obvious your doing Something wrong.
|
Yeah...7940's in truggy steering=no go, 7940's in general are pretty lame, but fast...and the 7954 i just sent in i think i broke a bushing in the mid case for the center pin from landing on this god for saken corner pipe stickin up! Ughhh...so yeah, but alot of people around me have had motor, 1st gear, and intermittent issues all summer long as well...all of us run straight lipo and we kinda wonder if that doesnt shorten a servos life a bit, even though there "rated" for it ya know...

December is creeping up and still nothing? :tire: |
