I have a Hitec HFD-0820 8ch receiver that came with my radio that used a 4.8V 600 mah NICD battery to power it.
I was wondering if I could switch to a 1300 mAh 11.1V 20c Lipoly Battery or is this too much power for the receiver?
Any Help would be great.

Guessing that's an older rcvr since I can't find anything on it. If thats the case, I really doubt it will handle that kind of voltage. I'd be concerned about trying anything too much over 6v.
Maybe email Hitec RCD and ask them for the voltage range for that rcvr to be sure...

I'd call them - I have better luck phoning than with emails.
