Can someone please walk me through how to check lipo voltage using a voltmeter? My batteries are all 2S with bullet plugs built into the case. Can the voltmeter be used to check cell balance as well? I am sure this is insanely easy, but never having done it before I want to avoid doing anything stupid. I have never used a voltmeter before, so please start with how it should be set and go from there. Thank you.

Set scale on voltmeter to 20v dc range
Measure between red and black main battery leads willl give you overall pack voltage
You may need a different probe for balance plugs, they are pretty small
Measure between first lead and second lead in balance plug for cell 1 voltage
Measure between second lead and third lead in balance plug for cell 2 voltage
Voltages should be
Pack
Between 6 and 8.4v
Cells
Between 3 and 4.2v
Cheers

When checking voltage off the balance plug, be careful not to let the pos and neg probes touch!! Thats a direct short and you don't want to short a lipo.
I have done this plenty and it just takes angling the probes away from each other as you're checking the various ones.
