Questions?? Punch control on E-buggy

Ok kinda confused on this here. Set up is CC Mamba Monster, CC 2650kv, Spectrum Dx-3s.. running on 4s lipo in an FT RC8Be. So I was messing around with punch control on my dx3s.. punch control is limiting my top end? I did not think it was suppose to do this?? Just wondering what everyone else is doing to make a smooth bottom end and still have full top end? I tried to mess with the torque settings on the esc but just ended up with -cogging- issues. Any help from someone running the same set up would help out great. Thanks

Try to reset your transmitter settings and limit the punch with your ESCs current limiter or throttle curve options. I'm not using a Mamba, but these settings should be available on any ESC today.
Hope that helps!

By the way, several guys from local clubs (including me) have experienced a weird response from their cars using a DX3S radio - it just didn't feel connected. Maybe you should borrow and test a different radio just to be sure.
It does not seem to be a general Spektrum problem, as the old DX3.0 worked fine.

The punch control feature on the DX3S is for nitro cars to improve throttle response. Do not use with electric. Set the radio back to 0% punch control and make sure you have no expo set on the throttle side (I use a little positive expo to soften the brakes around neutral) Use punch control of the Mamba if it has to much torque. (I use 5-10% on my 4wds,40-50% for 2wd)

As i always say if something doesn't work dig the instructions out of the garbage and read em.
