Used Servos

Is there any risks in buying used servos?
I have already been scammed in a burnt tekin RS and I dont want the same to happen with servos.
How do I test them to see if they work up to what it claims?

You can take a spare rcvr and a radio it will work with and a battery to power the rcvr. Then plug the servo and battery in and see if the radio will operate it. Takes a few min, but shows if it works or not.

Yea, thats a hard choice. Like they said..."you just dont know" You could get a servo that was pushed hard its entier life, never set up properly, etc. But on the other hand you can get some great deals! Heres the last three servos I bought here
JR z9000t $45 shipped retails for $120 MSRP $179.99
JR z650m $12.50 shipped retails for $50 MSRP $69.99
Hitec HS 5645mg $25 shipped retails for $47 MSRP $69.97
And they all worked flawlessly!
