Default MMP SC system

I have a brand new mmp system i got from tower. I installed it in my slash and the only thing ive done was to put a deans connector on the lead wires. when i plug in teh battery and turn on the esc everything works untill i give it throttle. the car moves 1 foot then shuts down? If i move the wires around at teh base of the sometimes it comes back on, sometimes not? Does it sound like the wires are lose? what else would make the car shut off after giving it throttle if its not a lose wire? Everything else on the car is stock. I sent an email to castle but im impatient Im new to the hobby so any help would be appriciated thanks.

Have you calibrated the throttle / brake endpoints with the ESC ?

Cheers

If the switch is OK (and on) you should have power to you RX and servo.
It could be a bad on/off switch.
I would use a volt meter and look for power on both sides of the plug from the lipo to the ESC.
And ....Yes...A lose wire can do this.
Then try taking the switch off and twist the two wires together.

Let us know where that gets you.
