Orion4500 rocketpack 8.4v

I just copied/pasted it and looked at the pick. I didnt read anything on it. But Im almost shure. You can get a 110AC/DC adaptor at Radio shack. But make shure it supplies enough amps. You dont need to buy a $100 power supply unless your planning to charge at fast/high rates. I would think a 12v/5A would work. I use a cheap a$$ one from Hobbypartz. But its outta stock right now. Check around. Hobbyking should have some cheap ones. Or you could possably use a car battery charger. It just needs to supply 12v DC power. You charger should have recomended minimum requirements for "input power"

If the culprit is the current why is it possible to charge my other batteries which are 2300mA with the 1200mA charger?

2300mah versus 4500mah has little to do with charging besides time - if the 4500 is the same cell count, it would just take longer. So you're charging with a 12v adapter that puts out 1200ma - that's just 1.2amps.
Are your 2300s 8cell packs? If they are, then your adapter should be able to charge them it'll just take more than 2x as long.
This would power it -
