Default throttle servo question

hi all
i'm unsure wheather this is normal or not, but, my throttle servo is either going wide open or nothing with no inbetween. i try to lightly squeeze the trigger and it just jumps straight to wot. even tried it with the car running (under load) for the same result. radio is spektrum dx3.0, servo is savox 1258tg and reciever battery is 2 cell life. steering servo works fine(1256tg) tried all settings on radio gear. what am i missing?
any help would be appreciated thanks

Wild guess, make sure the throttle exponential isn’t jacked up (or down, whichever). Should start with it at 0% (or LN for linear).

What happens on the brake side?

exponential set at 0 and doesn't matter which setting still the same brake side aswell. maybe too much voltage from battery?
