Hyperion 606 or tp 610 ac
#1
I am looking for an ac dc charger. I want to be able to charge at 10 amps for my 5000 2cell batts. Should i get a Hyperion 606 or tp 610? What is the con with ac chargers? Tired of lugging a power supply.

I don't believe either of those chargers can full-charge your batteries @10A. The Hyperion for sure is limited to 5A/50W, the TP looks to be limited to 10A/80W. You need 8.4V*10A = 84W total to fully charge 5Ah batteries at 2C, so you're right at the limit of what the TP charger can do.
That's the disadvantage to AC/DC chargers... most are limited to 80W or less total output.

The Hyperion 0606i only has a max of 6amps, and is further limited with a max power output of 50watts so it can't do that. The TP610C AC/Dc has a max charge rate of 10amps, but has an 80watt power limit. You'll get close, but the TP cahrger won't quite be able to do it either.
With 80watts, the max currrent for a 2S nearing full charge will be 80w/8.4v = 9.5amps. While the voltage is lower, the current will be a little higher, but as soon as the lipo voltage gets to 8v, the current will be less than 10amps and stay that way.
