hitec HS7940??
#1
i just received 2 servo today from tower hobbies. hitec HS7940 speed and HS7950 torque. tested them out and it seemed ok. but somehow i notice that the 7940 servo is much slower than 7950.
i was running JR9100S and apparently the speed are the same according to manufacturer specs.
but this hitec 7940 is noticeably slower compared to both the JR9100S and 7950 torque.
do i have a bad batch of servo from hitec or something???
what should i do? im a little disappointed considering i spent good money on the servo.
p/s: running the speed ones on throttle and torque on steering with 2s lipo

If its slower,m it sure shouldn't be given its specs. Its going to have to be sent back to Hitec probably, I don't think Tower can do anything about it. You might send them an email and ask, but I'm guessing its got to go back to Hitec for warranty/replacement.

well, talked to hitec, it looks like i will have to send it back. any idea what the turnaround time would be like? they dont cover international postage. so i will have to cough up the dough. doesn't matter, as long as i get it fixed. thanks for your advise Duster_360

Turn around time is normally a week or 2, IM sure you could call and inquire once you've received Notice they have your servo. But i wouldn't be too worried. Hitec has THE BEST warranty service in the industry BY FAR.

I guess you'll need to allow for some extra time back and forth in transit to and from Australia. That I couldn't begin to estimate.
I'm not sure they could expedite service any faster since I expect they'll just replace the servo with a new one and send it out.
