MES,I agree totally with you, it's a 75' walk just from the top of our driver stand to the track surface . Let alone to where your car is on the track. So if you have no turn marshals in practice & you wish to drive from the drivers stand(which is a must on our track) every time you get stuck I have to walk a minimum of about 150'. Really messes up a practice session.

That's completely false. The Havoc Pro SC is a 540 AND a 550 capable esc. It's the exact same esc as the Kinetic only without the Nova-link capability. If you don't plan to use a computer to dial in your esc, then the Havoc Pro SC esc is a great value. The Havoc Pro SC is going in my Losi 22.[/QUOTE]

Sorry... You are correct, the Havoc SC IS 540 & 550 motor compatible with a 3.5 turn limit on 540 motors just like the GTB 2. That's what I get for looking at a hobby store website instead of the MFG website.

I have used the Hobbywing V2.0 for the last 12 months and absolutely love it for 17.5T brushless in touring cars.

If you decide to go mod... ie.. 6.5T or less then i dont believe these turbo speedies are that useful and not recommended..

I have a 6.5T in my B44 and i run a Nosram open esc which is way more than i can handle.. and doesnt have any of the turbo functions

So my thoughts to you are firstly.. has your club stopped the turbo speedies for racing, i know our offroad mob have, while onroad still do allow them.

If running mod.. anything like a GTB is usually plenty.. its about motor selection, gearing and throttle control, not trying to wring every last rpm from a given motor size (aka stock 17.5T).
