That looks great! I would be interested in seeing how you completed the mod.

I did the mod on my back-up radio. A 3PJS.It has the module mounted on the side like the M8. I had broken the antenna at the pivot point. Not only is the antenna in the original position for the radio. The case holds the antenna securely. Looks factory! I'm gonna do the 3PK soon for the same reason, eliminate the weak pivot point. I'll try to post pics when it's done.

Finished both mods to my 3PK and 3PJS. The 3 PK was a little easier because I didn't have to drill an additional hole at the antenna housing. You still have to drill a hole in both the Module case and to route the antenna wire from its new location on the radio to the modules sight. After the wire is routed, you put the case back together. I did slot a small route for the case to fit down properly in the radio without pinching. Love my Dremel!!
