Default Fried Ofna starter box circuit board?

I was using my ofna starter box today, breaking in a new motor, and I suddenly smelt that "burning electronics" smell, you know what I mean...

Checked the gel-cell battery, it's fine... Hit the button to check the battery level, it says battery is 100%, and LED's are fully functional.

Check all connections, and they're all good. So, when I depress the end of the starter box to activate the motors, nothing happens. I'm thinking the circuit board may have fried?!?! I really don't know... Anyone have any experience along these lines?

Sounds like the motor burned out. Usually the motor is directly connected to the battery through the switch (the push down one). The power panel, that's what you mean by circuit board, doesn't feed the motor, however, you may have melted one of the power wires.

Hmm... Good call. I'll test the motors tomorrow and see if they're still running.

I just figured it would be the power panel, as there are two motors, and it would be unlikely that they'd both burn out at the same time.

Not sure how they are wired, but they may be wired such that if one has a prob, it effectively kills them both....thinking about it, you'd prob want it that way so it would protect the motor that didin't have a prob.

Yes they are wired in series so if the wire to one melts both cease functioning.

What usually happens is that the wheel stops turning due to a tight engine and the current is still going to the stalled motors. That will heat up the wires since those have the resistance to make them incandence (glow hot and burn).
