A quick question for CC BEC

I get my mamba max pro with motor today. A lot of people suggest to get a BEC and not use on board BEC. I probably will end up getting a CC BEC with that field link card. I saw a picture, where that card is connected to a usb. Can I use that method to program my CC BEC, without buying the other field link programmer?
Thanks

You will only need an external bec if you are using a servo that draws a lot of current, you may even get by with just a cap

The Field Link card will allow you to program the ccbec and the ESC with the Castle Link software

The Field Link card does connect to USB and you can use it as a standard Castle Link as well as use it to update the preprogrammed settings on the Field Link card. I just got mine last week and it also included the USB card. Just make sure the first time you use it with a computer, just make sure you have an internet connection so you can update with the lastest software.
