Default Hitec 7950TH problems?

Hello all, I would have posted this in the Hitec thread but I could not seem to find it. Well anyway here is whats on my mind. I have been using 7955's in my nitro buggy straight lipo for the last 3 years and am very impressed with the performance and durability of the servos. I need to replace my servos and thought about stepping up to the 7950Th as an upgrade. I talked to 2 of my local hobby shops and was told the same thing "stay away from those, they are having problems!!" Is this true, I read nothing but positive comments on all the forums and customer feedbacks. Just looking for some fyi jst in case there is a problem as these servos are a few bucks. Thanks.

Your hobby shops are wack! There's nothing wrong with the 7950's at all! In-fact it is one of the toughest servos I have ever used. No problems what so ever!

There were a couple issues with the 7940's at first, but those have been taken care of as far as I know. I have had no trouble with my 7940's either.

The way I see it is that any servo will burn up if you treat it wrong. Maybe your hobby shops' customers have been treating them wrong?

That is pretty much how I felt about it. But when they showed me a box full of brand new 7950's still sealed that that they claimed Hitec told them to send back I could not help but wonder if there was any truth to it. I am going to get them anyway and if there are any problems there is always the great hitec customer service.

7940's are prolly the worst servo ever marketed...if you notice in the magazines they have changed their marketing focus from 1/8 scale to shortcourse and call their service...theyll straight tell you that it is a servo originally designed for heli's and isnt suited for any 1/8 scale application...i know, i bought 2 in the spring, and 1 was warrantied 3 times for different issues each time and the other warrantied twice for similar problems...garbage!!! have switched to 7955 and the new 7954 and couldnt ask for more...HITEC IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER FOR SUPPORT, SERVICE, AND FAST TURNAROUND I WANNA MAKE CLEAR IN THIS POST HOWEVER!!! I wont buy another manufacturers servo after these dealings as this is my first season racing and only been in rc's yr and half...they are the best hands down!!! 7940's are poop!
