ESC question

Can anyone tell me how I determine if an ESC will work with the radio and receiver that I have?

You shouldn't have any issues with them matching up. What ESC and radio/receiver are you speaking of?

You worry about the esc working with the motor and the voltage (cell count) of the batteries, not the radio.
