Transponder repairs?

Can you repair a transponder? I think my wire has a broken wire inside. Or near the end. Can you pop them apart to repair?

It's difficult but I've done it. If it's AMB, you gently slice around the end cap until it comes off. Then, you see if you can dig out the wire reminants. If you can, then just solder a replacement on, shrink wrap it, and then goop the cap back on. Inside the transponder is some sort of sealant so depending on where the wire broke, it might be tricky. Good luck!

I think you can just send it back and they will do it for free or at least cheap. Never had to do it but that is what I've heard.
