chances are that they'll just replace it. it will cost you a little, but not as much as buying a new speedo. here's where to send it:

Thank you.

Whoohooo! Just got sponsored by RC Disco in the UK racing for Team Xray! Despite them being a distributor for Tekin I am able to stay with LRP electronics! Yes, I'm happy!

hey guys i have had 3 lrp speedos fail on me 2 due to my fualt and 1 was very weird, i never calibrated the esc's do you guys think that could have been it? like one esc i sent back that didnt fry was cogging after a while of running, i changed 2 sensor cables a brand new moter, new bullets and new batteries and it was still the same so they told me to end it back- just wondering if was a problem due to me calibrating it? i like the speedos alot and will keep a stock spec for my buggy...

Had a brand new out of the box fail on me as soon as I turned on the switch, SNAP...BEC failed. Never had a chance to turn the blue light on. Worked with a receiver pack. Sent it back for a replacement. So far, so good!

Iv has problems with my SS V2 using LRP branded 90mm sensor wires. It coggs wont spin up smoothly. I'v even bought two new ones with same results and have used two old ones! I put the one that came with the kit and it works fine. Hmmm...weird.

Did you put 4.4 software on it? If not I would try to do that and then try a different sensor wire!

Any settings and fdr for using a 6.5 or 7.5 motors in a touring car?

air88 09-05-2011 11:53 PM

I have NOSRAM PEARL SpecRacing V2 which is probably the same as LRP SXX V2.

I want to buy 17.5 motor. My options:

-NOSRAM Storm Evolution Brushless SPEC RACING - 17.5T [91850] (LRP X11?)
-Robitronic Platinium 17.5T [R03010]
-BRUSHLESS GM PRO 17,5T [97357]

Which is the best choice for RC racing?

There are 3 versions of the LRP SXX V2:

StockSpec is for spec racing: 21.5, 17.5, 13.5, 10.5
it gives you the maximum punch/boost profiles for those motors

The Competition version has milder boost profiles for mod racing, down to 5.0T motors.

TC Spec is for heavy duty mod racing like TC Mod and Short Course 4x4 Mod. It has similar milder boost profiles as the Competition, but it comes with a fan and can handle down to 3.5T motors.

All three versions have the stock blinky mode.

With an SXX TC Spec with at least v1.5 on it I would suggest a 7.30 FDR with a 6.5. As for settings I guess it depends on what you think you can handle. I would start with 3-2-3-5 with very little motor timing. If the track is big you can run a little higher on the boost setting...

A great summary - can I just ask if you can put the StockSpec software on all three?

Hi Scoyle,

there is no possibility to upload the soft yourself,
i.e get a TC spec and apply the Stock Spec firmware, it will not work.

should you wish to use Stock Spec soft, then you must get the Stock spec Speedo.
the firmware update are specific for each model, usually Competition and TC Spec have the same and Stock Spec has its own.

it's either deliberate or a flaw in the design, surely on the higher end speedo's they could be made to be back wards compatible, in fact such a feature would make the product a lot more desirable for people outside the the LRP circle.
SXX v2 by far the best Speedy I have ever used to date.
