Another Great Idea out of Camp Hitec....Too bad Savox didn't think about it.

Dont think twice about the Savoxx, just buy them, they run great. All servos will fail eventually, I dont care what brand it is. I've broken high end JR's, and high end Hitec's. My EPA's are always set correctly its just the nature of the hobby. You really put a beating on these things while racing.

I've run Savoxx in on-road so far and no issues. They are the best selling servo at my LHS since he put them on the shelfs and he has had minimal issues.

I consider a Savoxx a quality servo at a very affordable price.

I run the 1256TG on both steering/throttle on the 8ight 2.0. No issues what so ever. I really lilke these servo's as the case is shorter and you don't have to worry about the servos hitting the chassis. Great Servos!

I run Spektrum servos (s6030 278/.15) in my buggy with no problems. they are made by savox, the only difference that I a aware of is the spektrum uses JR splines.

True but I assume you have to deal with Horizon for warranty work, thats a problem.

I am not sure what you mean by this either. I have run Hitec for years and had no problem with repairs and they have been very few. Hitec doesn't question where they are purchased so not sure I like the LHS warranty. So much is sold online now and I am sure Savox benefits from that as well. I still may try some soon as they seem a good price and seem do do a good job as well.

I should have said, " Too bad Savox didn't think of it First"

Hitec's been known to practice the LHS warranty for Years. Some like it some don't....I was simply stating its Nothing New From a servo Mfg.

Savox should be the official servo for the Losi cars they don't need the extra spacer and sit well off the chassis.

+1 Before, I did not understand why I kept blowing servos in my 8t 2.0, my EPA was always adjusted properly. Then after a lot of reading and research I found that the slap from the chassis was the reason. When I installed the savox, they were a lot shorter then my other servos; and I have not had a servo issue since.

Has anyone run the SC-1256TG servos on 7.4v
Will they work on 7.4 or will I have to get a regulator?

Hitec does ask where purchased. I DLd the return form recently, so I can confirm this.

On the subject of Savox, I recently put a 1258 in my Hyper TT. I only have one race day on it so far but I am very happy. It might not be as strong ( it's plenty strong for steering in a TT) , but it is equally fast and smooth as my 7940
