I have used it a few times running on-road touring. The radio feels "high-end" and is very light. It has a very nice, quick, response rate and you have a pretty connected feel to the car. For around $230 I wouldn't hesitate. As for receivers, stick with the 2104GF. It's the only Futaba FHSS receiver that will do SFHSS (faster) and it's only $49.99 if you want another.
