Default Will an AM receiver work with the Night Crawler ESC?

I just got a used BND Night Crawler. The previous owner removed the 2.4 receiver, and send me an HPI RF-6 2-Channel receiver, and an HPI TF-4 3-Channel radio.

First, I installed the receiver, and plugged the ESC, steering servo, and LED lights connectors into the receiver.

Then, I turn the radio and night crawler on. The LED's come on, and the steering servo responds as it should, but I have no forward or reverse.

The ESC is set to use a nimh battery pack. My battery is fully charged.

I tried to program the ESC by holding the setup button, and switching the power on. The ESC enters the "One Touch Endpoint" mode as it should. I apply full throttle to program the full throttle point. Nothing happens. The light is supposed to flash green and then go solid. Then you do the same thing for reverse.

Another thing I tried is setting it up for the different drive modes. What you have to do is, power on the ESC, and hold the setup button for 5 seconds. When I do that, nothing happens.

My thought here is...the ESC is not compatible with an AM receiver.

Anyone have any idea why I'm not getting any throttle response?

Nevermind! I got it working.

I thought the ESC was supposed to hook into the battery port of the Rx.

Whoops!
