Default Mamba monster esc issue!

Guys, I saw there were multiple threads on these issues but very old ones so thought I would start a particular thread for this issue I have.

Received a brushless edition e-maxx with a MMM 2200 combo setup.

I already had a package full with brand new lipo's, which were 2S 5800mah batteries. So I connected two batteries to the circuit and I heard beeps and saw leds flashing, if I remember right, a green/yellow color. But then after about 5-8 seconds, really nothing at all, just off. So I figured, probably the batteries are low on voltage. So I went ahead and charged the packs till they were 8,404V each. Then connected them up again and the Mamba Monster won't do anything, no beep, no leds, just nothing. Not even switching on. What could be wrong here?

Thanks for any helpful input!

The only time I have had a monster do that was when it was all over. I would check all your connections, battery receiver ext. Try linking it with the castle link see if that does anything. But I hate to say it doesn't sound good. On the bright side castle has a great repair department. They are so awesome there that sometimes if you write to them and tell them what happened they will even ship the new one before they receive the old one. the only other thing that I have seen happen its that the switch goes. Try wiggling the components around inside the switch with the batteries connected. I think I've had 3 switches go on me there kinda cheap.
Good luck

Thanks for the reply.

But not really what I wanted to hear

Is there a way of overcoming the on/off switch for now?
Just to check if that's the point of problem.

UPDATE: Just put the batteries in again, nothing at all.

Then all of a sudden another array of beeps and this time leds flashing in all three colors, so yellow, green and then red.

The good news is that it sounds like the switch. If its intermittent its not likely the esc. try just stripping the red and black wire right by the switch and connecting them(thats all the switch does anyway) if it turns on and stays on you have found your problem. I hope it works.

Are you using the same radio and rcvr as the orig? If you've changed either tx or rcvr, you have to re-calibrate the esc.

The 1st LED codes mean low voltage cutoff which wouldn't make sense with charged lipos, hence the question about the radio equip.

also from what I know, the MMM doesn't come setup for LiPos. You have to use the Castle Link or manual configuration. This may have changed since I got my ERBE, but it wasn't set up for LiPo and the Driver's Ed manual stated as much. Just making sure you re-set them for LiPo's

I've had 4 of these CC2200s setups, 3 in a box from Castle and one in a Flux. They were all ready to run lipo but the autolipo setting of the lvc was not where you'd want it to be. All mine had it a 3.ov/cell which is too low. I reset mine to 3.4 or 3.5v/cell depending on the RCs weight.

I think what you're saying is that theMMM lvc was set to off on your ERBE in anticipation of running NiMh. You don't use a lvc running NiMh.

Castle has added an option for setting their escs - you can get a Field Programming card and don't need a PC - it'll let you do most things the Link will do, you have to have the Link to do custom throttle and brake curves.
