I've been using a 3S 2600 lipo in my 3PK and PKS for about five years, seems fine to me and one charge lasts for about 8 hours.

i dont see why it would ruin it.

My friend runs a lipo... the only thing he everr had issues with was the lipo caught fire once when he was chargin it because he dead shorted two connections...

i used 9 x NiMH 2300mAH and the 3pk worked perfectly well with 9 hours non stop runtime..

the 3S lipo should not be issue.. only difference is 11.1V vs 10.8V. after fully charge the voltage sure indeed near 12V or slightly more.

bro vios, just to be on the safe side. Once you use lipo, stay with lipo. Scared if you go back to NiMH or NiCd, there will be voltage spark. I burned my m11 fuse when i use lipo (fully charged) and then i switch back to NiMH (fully charged). Regretted it. But I could be wrong about this. Just that when it happen to my m11 it was just... weird.

i used lipo on my M11 & sometimes swap it with nimh batt. so far no issues... last time there was a DIY method replacing the fuse. ...the root cause is eventually charging your batt via the transmitter. many kena blown fuse..

Default 3 cell

I've used a 3 cell 1250 lipo in my 3pk since 08 and had no trouble, even left it on at for a couple of hours at the open wheel with no problems.

I use a 3S 3300mah lipo in both my 3PK and 3PJS and have been for almost 5yrs. Never had any kind of problems. Really like how the lipo reduced the weight ot the txs too.

If you do elect to go with AAs, def get the newer low self discharge ones, they beat the ordinary rechargeable AAs by a mile! Sanyo Eneloops would be great in this application.
