A good 5000mah 35+ C pack would be sufficient.

Now!
For an update on the JConcepts race! I ended up qualifying 10th for the A-Main out of 35+'stock buggies; and never having been to the track. No timing was allowed as well, and the Viper paired with the VTrax was clearly one of the fastest stock motors there. The driving on the other hand.... Lol

Took 7th in the first A, and 8th in the 2nd A after some poor tire decisions on my part, and some...rough...driving on others parts. I left after the 2nd A, 4.5 hour drive home, and I have to work at 3AM! Enough fun for the weekend

Have quite a few people interested in getting some Viper motors after seeing the performance they put out

Thanks Again Viper RC

The Vtrax10 will be $145-160 and the Vtrax10R will be $185-200. All Viper esc's will include the ProGauge handheld 5in1 tool for no additional cost, the ProGauge sells for $49.99 alone.

I expect the VST/Vtrax10 combo to be around $220 and the VST/Vtrax10R combo to be around $260.

Ok, gotta question for you guys. How do I properly solder the motor wires to the motor? I've never soldered onto these curved tabs before, and want to make sure I do it right. Am I aiming to solder them to the bottom part of the curve?

Thanks.

make the wire fit inside the C shape so it's level on top.

or you can solder them strait if the need arises.

Yes, the wires sit in the bottom part of the curve. Think of it like soldering into a hole in a circuit board, but the top of the hole is open (which makes it a hundred times easier, you'll see). The best way to solder them is to have the wire perpendicular to the tabs like in the picture below. First I tin the wire and tin the inside of the curve, then I lay the wire in horizontal and place the iron on the end of the wire/board. Hope this clears things up a little for you.
