Sounds like this is a starter box battery, a gel cell? You shouldn't charge that at over 1amp and if you have a wall type plug in charger, it's prob less than that. The one I got with my cell is 600ma. The way you figure a rough time estimate using a 600ma charger is (7ah = 7000mah) 7000mah/600ma = 11.7hr. A 1amp charge would indicate 7hrs in the same way.
This assumes the cell is 'empty' which it's not. These wall type chargers are advertised as 'overnight chargers' and that's what it says on the box mine came in. I think I've read somewhere that 1st charge its recommended to charge for 14hrs and after that 'overnight'.
