ive only had a nitro. and i dont understand the battery side of things.
i need at least 2, one of the trucks is gonna be for my nephew.
i know these words dont really go together, but cheap and good.

Turnigy and Zippy lipos from Hobby King are a great value in my opinion. They also have several lipo chargers there that should suit your needs.

Make sure you educate yourself on lipo care and charging. Improper care and/or charging can lead to bad things. Don't let this scare you from lipos as it is not rocket science to use them safely but there is some diligence required.

Have you read through the Strike thread at all? I know there are some upgrades you will likely want to do to help with the reliability of the trucks.

Good luck.

+1

I have been using Turnigy for almost a year (3 of them) and have had no problem. As long as you are not running a ROAR sanctioned race you should have no problem with them. For the $$$ you cannot go wrong.

Something like this for batteries -

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=9437

These would be better since they're in USA warehouse, but on back order atm -

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=14976

Charger - HobbyKing really has only one AC charger -

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6478

But you could get one of their inexpensive DC chargers like Accucel-6 -

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=7028

and a power supply -

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6256

and be cheaper than the AC charger (prob cost less to ship too).

If you do the EMS shipping its the quickest. Here in Houston, I get my orders in less than 7 working days via EMS. I've had one as quickly as 3 days and the longest has been 7 days.

Yes, its expensive! If yoyu don't need/want it quickly, take the other shipping, it usually arrives in 14 - 17 business days. I've done it once, for me with their low cost, its not a prob.

Be careful, the nice thing about HK lipos is they're pretty much a proven commodity. Same withthe blue lipos on Hobbypartz. Anything else, they may be disappointing. Some of these other cheap lipos have such badly inflated C ratings, they don't/won't hold up.
