guss.
I just did that exact change over. I have yet to put power to them but I will try to soon and report back. |
ok so I just went and set my trims. WOW. If these things perform like I think they will, dang. I was worred about the 1268 being slow for steering but put it there anyways. It is smokin fast. the 1268 can be used for th/b and steering no problem.

Has anyone used the 1258 for steering in a 1/8 nitro buggy....I have just put an order in for two of them for my new kit??

Guys just be aware the Castle Mamba Max Pro ESC will not run a Savox 1267MG Servo on it's own. I've had to use an external BEC to power it (amp hungry)

savox servo
I just tried to install a 1256 into my new hyper 10 sc with the new Castle SC mamba max pro with 2400 kv motor, but found that the castle doesn't put out enough volts to run this servo. I need to put a bec into the car in order to run savox servos. Switching back to JR 9100T. No problem with the JR servos when using MMP

If your using the HV rated servos, you may need an external Rx capacitor to provide uninterupted power (somthing similar to the Spektrum SPM1600). The non-HV servo line doesn't require the capacitor for top level performance. Awesome servos, they are smoking fast and extremely strong!

Will the 1258 and 1256 run on straight LiPo? I do not run regulators, it's just another link in the chain to go wrong.
