Wire sizes??
I am trying to find out if 13ga is to small for 4x4 anything? I like how it is smaller and fits more places.. But is it to small for a 4x4 sc truck or buggy? 1/10th scale.

Fine for mod 4wd buggy not sure on 4wd SCT.

Blue doesn't seem to be available in shorter lengths....and this doesn't mention how long it is... http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...auge-Wire-Pack So finally, here 3' in each - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Black-Red-Blue |
What are you using it for? If you run Novak esc's 12awg. won't fit in the holes on the esc board, without trimming the wire down, just FYI.
|
using it for all my cars esc's... 4x4 sc too, just wondering if 13ga is big enough for that.
|
13awg is what comes off the Castle MMP. I haven't had any issues with that wire on my SCRT10, my Slash 4wd, or my SC8e. Doesn't even seem to get warm.

sweet deal, thanks a lot

10awg is over kill on the length of runs rc cars use. Now if we are talking hundreds of feet of cable then yes 10 would be a good choice. 12 and 13 is fine. I wish they wouldn't use 10 on some batteries.

Or 8awg for that matter, like on some of the Turnigy packs. :ha:
