Default Painting a ESC case.

Having some terrible bad luck last week. My Tekin RS Pro and Fuze ESC both died. I shorted the Tekin but the Fuze i have no idea. My Reciever stopped working to. All I have left is a VXL ESC and saddly it's going into a Jrx-s Type R. I removed the stickers and plan on painting it Gun metal using Tamiya acrylic paint. What steps are needs to get the paint to stick to the case?

I would sand it with some fine grit paper then wipe it down with alcohol.
