I would like to get a 2nd charger to charge my Lipo packs, my packs are generally 5000mah 2c packs. I am wondering if my power supply will handle another charger?

Those lipos take 8.4v x 5a = 42watts to charge. The charger has inefficiency, its typcally about 80% efficient, so the power supply needs to supply about 50.4watts to the charger. Since you're using a 260watt PS, there's enough wattage to run two chargers, each charging a 2S 5000mah lipo at 1C.

You could get another one of the same chargers and it would work as long as the 2S 5000mah lipos were all you were charging (at 1C).

Right now I charge one battery at a time, so you are saying I can charge 2 batterys at once I I jut add the same type of charger? Would it take longer to charge?

Depends on the amps you are charging at. But probably OK. I have a very similar looking and speced ProPeak supply, I can charge two 2s 5000mAh lipos at 10 amps each. Or four at 5 amps each. Draws around 15 amps from the supply.

Tried going higher with the supply, up around 18 amps, that didn't work out so well.

Also charging higher voltage lipos, like a 4s, would reduce what you can do, as each battery-charger would require more power.

You can also do 2 packs with only adding a parallel lead or board. The charger you linked has a 10 amp max. 5 amps will be split to each pack. It has to contain the same number of (series) cells. (both be 2S packs)

Your orig quest was to add a 2nd charger if your PS has enough wattage - yes you can. I was wondering why you wanted to add a 2nd - if it is to let you charge two of your 2S 5000mah lipos at once, then ther are other ways to do that. You can spend the cash and get another charger, or, you can buy a Paraboard and plug it into your charger and charge two 2S 5000mah lipos in parallel at the same time using your charger and PS.

Since you are apparently charging the same cell count, same capacity (mah) (and hopefully same C rating lipos), you can charge them in parallel. Connecting two of these together effectively makes the combined lipo a 10,000mah 2S lipo. A 1C charge would then be 10amps which your charger and PS can do. The lipos should be at similar voltages before you connect them. The Paraboard makes this easy -

Just get the one that has the balance type connector your lipos have. This will be cheaper than buying another charger.

well my other battery is a 4600, and I just bought a 1s 50c 5300mah for my pan car...ultimately would just need to charge the 5000 and 4600 together and then I will eventually buy another 1s 50c 5300 so would charger both of those together when I run the pan car

The rule is that the packs must contain the same number of "series" cells. You can charge any number and capacity of 2S packs together. 3s packs together , 1s packs together.

If you charge them both at 4.6 amps it'll take about twice as long. The advantage to charging in parallel is that the current can be increased to max each pack out. Add them together for the max current.

I usually charge the 4600 at 4.6 and the 5000 at 5 so if u did 9.5 it would basically split that in half for each, correct?

I think you'll be safer and it'll be less confusing for you to just buy a 2nd charger.....
