Default MRC Super Brain 989 Feedback

Anyone have any experience/feedback with this charger?

I've narrowed the search to this one and the Thunder Power TP610C

Thanks

I personally suggest a balance charger.....$ for $ you can get some pretty nice charges.

I still own a 989 but it sits on the shelf collecting dust.

I have one but only use it on race days as a second charger when balance charging between rounds isn't needed. Otherwise I use my Hyperion. There's really nothing wrong with them other than not having a built in balancer though. Unless you're looking at it for a second charger and getting a really good deal on one I would look for something else. Quality balance charges can be found pretty cheap now.

Hard to beat a pretty full featured Thunder AC6 charger from HobbyPartz for only $55. Of the two yopu mention, TP 610C is a much better charger. Def would recommend getting that one of the two if you want to spend that much for a charger.

I guess I've never regained any respect for MRC since the troubles with their older charger that would overheat everytime it was plugged in. Their market efforts with their chargers have not been the smoothest.

I have one, I added a team checkpoint pro lipo balancer for my balancing needs. Works fine. But as the others have said there are better chargers with no need to add an external balancer.

Cheers!
