Default Brushless system question

I was wondering what the best brushless system for the money is. I am only racing a couple times a month and my skill level is not high. Need a 17.5 system for CORR class at my local track. Thinking of the Novac system for $150. Is that a good one or is there a better one out there for the money?

You'll get a ton of opinions on this. In the end there are a bunch of systems that will work, I see nothing wrong with Novak and they have excellent CS.

I personally dont care for Novak stuff, but lots of guys swear by them and they compete well with everyone else. I recommend you check out the Hobbywing stuff at Hobbypartz.com. Its very cheap and does not have much for customer service, but they have proven to be reliable and competitive. If you like them be sure to pick up the programming card for a few extra bucks, it makes tuning your speed control very easy. The EZRun 60A ESC and 17.5T motor are the best deal you can get for the money in my opinion.

We just added this to our store---a great system to get you started:

When your skills improve, you can send it back to us and Trade-Up to more competitive electronics:

When purchasing Novak racing products, your investment is protected as you gain more experience and decide to participate in more challenging events. Novak customers can return any esc we have ever made (brush or brushless) and any BL motor and trade-up to currently manufactured products---this is our exclusive, Lifetime Legacy Program.

Money seems to be a concern, so look at the options for a great ESC then upgrade the motor as you come into some more funds. I have the LRP sphere and it is a great easy to use product. It is super expensive but you have a ton of flexibility on motor options later, plus LRP has some direct pricing on their BL motors.
