Default Help with Hyperion Balancer

Greetings, I have just purchased a Hyperion LBA10 NET 6S+ balancer to use with my MRC SuperBrain 989 charger and I need assistance. I only have the balance harness for a 6S Hyperion pack but I have a 5S pack and I need yo know is there any way to use the harness without having to order the 5S harness. Should I plug the pack's balance leads in making sure the red wires are connected or ignore the red wires altogether and plug the leads on the black side? Thank you for you help.

Hyperion uses both pack pos and neg as well as a neg from each cell. If you look at the LBA manual under the tech addendum toward the back, you'll see the diff in wiring between 6S and 5S. You'd need to remove the unsed wire and the pack positive would need to be physically moved over one position for it to work.
