Default Experienced Novak Question!

Hey guys im installing a novak xbr into a rustler and had an issue.... I took the wire that connects the esc to the reciever and there is a problem. I dont know which way the plug goes on the esc. It is the red white and black wire and at the end is a plug and im not sure if it is supposed to have the side with the gold prongs showing half way facing towards or away from the esc and on the wire i do not know which end goes to the reciever?? There is an "8" on one of the sides....

Please help me...

It will plug in the same direction as your servo plugs in, usually with the signal (white) wire on the inside of the Rx and the ground (black) wire on the outside.

Going by this picture, look at the lower right corner where it says RX. See the S + -? That stands for Signal, Positive, Negative. Signal is white or yellow (depends on the cable you have), Positive is red, Negative is black. Put it on the connector in that order (white to the left). As long as both ends are in the same order (black, red, white) it doesn't matter which end goes to the Rx or ESC.
