It may be that the switches or buttons have not been assigned to an adjustment. The manual which is downloadable on Futaba's site explains this process.

Get the manual and make sure they have not been re-assigned or disabled. Manual is available here - you just about can't do without a manual with this radio -

They must be doing maintenance cause I can't get their site to come up....

They've probably been re-assigned, I would just perform model memory reset to return to factory defaults. Chances are that everything will be fine. I turn DT 3 off so I don't accidentally change my third channel trim for my killswitch, slave servo, etc.

It won't do anything unless it has something assigned to it.

OK we get you, now please stop yelling.

I hardly use the trim buttons, I always end up adjusting my trim accidentally in the heat of battle, so all my trim buttons are disabled.

If there's 2 thing's i Highly suggest buying Brand new, Its Radio's and Motor's....You simply do not know how the previous owner has treated the unit and from what ive personally seen some guys are Super Rough with their TX's and wonder why everything is squeaky and falling apart.
