Default Good Battery for Bashing?

Hey I was looking into purchasing a 5000 mah NiHM battery pack from either venom or traxxas for bashing. Is one brand better than the other? Or does it not matter. Thanks!

Its a xxx bk2. I just want to stay away from Lipos. They seem like they are high maintenance. I would also have to buy a lipo charger.

Yes you would have to have a lipo charger (and an ESC that has a lipo cutoff), but lipos require the least amount of maintenance out of all the rechargable cells.... a grand total of ZERO maintenance. Nimh cells require all kinds of maintenance.

I visited that site posted above. I did not realize how cheap they are now (been out of the hobby for 4 years). What charger would you recommend?
