Default MC330CR Dead...

I just cracked open the new MC330CR for use inside my fun buggy. Hardwired the motor leads to the HPI 15t motor, connected it to the Futaba HRS receiver, switched on....and then no go...
I thought the battery might be dead but i tried it out on a separate LRP ESC and the battery worked out fine. I switched out the ESC and changed it to LRP/stock motor and everything worked out fine. I thought the stock Tamiya connectors might be faulty but i tested the connections and its good to go.

I havent flipped open the switch yet, because i dont even see any LEDs light up from the ESC case. Its brand spanking new and I'm not so sure what next. I dont want to void the warranty by cracking open the case. I dont know what to look for in case something goes wrong.

Its time to see about a replacement. When I was running its smaller cousin, the MC230CR, I went thru a pair before I found one that would work.

Did you get it locally or did you order it?

About allyou can do is make sure your connections are good and thats its getting juice from a good battery. If the LED doesn't come on, its prob internal.

These are apparently made for Futaba and the QC doesn't appear to be that great. Seems a lot of bad ones get out the door. They guys I was running 18th scale with, we must have went thru 10 or more of the MC230CRs.

Juice is definitely flowing coz i tested the power wires, connectors and solder joints. I know its not the ESC cable or the power cable coz when i changed to a different LRP ESC everything worked out perfectly. I dont have any diagnostic equipment to check the PC board internally, so i have to chuck this in the rubbish bin.

I have been a Futaba user since 1986, and this is my first negative experience.
