Just got a Blaze off ebay and had to buy separate Radio Gear - I have a Hitec Aggressor Transmittor and a Hitec HFS-03MM FM Receiver.

I don't have a manual for the ESC and I'm new to setting these things up. I can get lights flashing and beeping noises but don't know what they mean - if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

You might try contacting Nosram and asking for help/manual. This appears to be a few years old and it is not in their manuals listing -
