Default Thunder power vs. Orion

Which would be better for 17.5 rubber tire racing, the tp 5000 50c or the orion 5400 45c? Do you guys have any pros and cons or any good or bad expieriences with either of them?

Thanks
Hayden

both are quality packs and I really doubt you'll notice any difference in performance between the 2. I don't like extrenal balance plugs, I like the clean layout of packs with internal bullets, but that's not a performance issue just a personal one.

thank you. i have heard great things about thunder power and their whole line of batteries. i just dont like the balance plugs. and i have had an orion 3200 20c for 3 years and its still running strong. so i like orion's cells. has anyone used the orion?

Just recently I purchased 2 Thunder Power lipo packs. I've only owned SMC until now. But all I can say is that you won't be dissapointed with Thunder Power. Good luck.

On that same token, I have personally seen 3 of the 40C TP's burn up on track (after a hard hit)...

Don't know anything about the Orions, but have heard they are also good batteries.

I can't really speak for Orions, but I too, bought one Thunder Power and ended up eventually owning 10. The packs just outlast most of of the LiPos on the market, and they seem to have more "punch" than other packs.
