solder
looking for the recommended solder for nimh battery cells?
i have a few new 6v humps that i want to reconfigure to flat packs. thanks. |
I've always liked Kester's 60/40 solder, you can get it at local electronics shops(NOT Radio Shack, their stuff is WAY overpriced), & can get a 1 pound roll of it for around $20. It's good stuff, in fact it's what MANY electronics manufacturers(like the company I work for) use....

Don't forget the flux to go with it.....

In general, you should check out this thread for anything soldering related, it is amazing: http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...ef-lesson.html
I've been using this Kester 63/37 (63% Tin, 37% Lead) for a little while, best stuff I've ever used: http://www.amazon.com/Kester-Rosin-C...6018050&sr=8-1 Pair it with a good soldering iron and some decent RMA Flux and you're set. |
