Default Question about FM Receivers

So, I have an Associated XP3D 27MHZ FM radio. I loved the thing in my HPI Blitz and wanted to convert over my Hyper 7 and my Savage over to use the same radio. I picked up some receivers, a JR R200 and another one that I don't quite know the model of. Both receivers are in the 27MHZ FM band. Here is the picture of it:

But here is the question. Is there some kind of compatibility issues that I don't know about? Both of these receivers glitch like no other. I can't figure it out, I've tried all sorts of crystals and things like that. I figure if it comes to the worst and these receivers truly aren't compatible, I can always sell them to try and get my money back on it. Any help is appreciated.

Are you trying with a set of matched crystals - I mean the TX and RX crystals made by the same company? I have had no luck 'mixing' crystals, but have always been able to run a mixed Tx and rcvr pair in 75Mhz FM when I use a matching set of crystals.

Its 75Mhz that has the phase shift differences, thats not supposed to be an issue in 27Mhz.

At first I tried with "matched" crystals, but I was getting glitching, same story when I mixed them. I am at a loss here. The JR R200 receiver doesn't glitch anymore last I tried, but the "throttle" channel doesn't seem to respond at all. The steering works fine, just not throttle.

That makes it sound like you've got the plugin the rcvr in backwards on the JR rcvr......

I thought I tried that too. I was tired yesterday when I was doing it so maybe I was doing it wrong. I'll give that another try today. Hopefully that is what it is, I really don't want to get any more receivers, haha.

Usually rcvrs have the negative side of the plug toward the 'outside' of the case.
